'Maxed' Player Owned House Requirements

FailOnline

Recommended Posts

spacer.png

Welcome to this guide on Player Owned House unlocks; this guide exists to help you know what is needed to unlock the key popular player owned house features. This guide assumes that you only want the ability to build a key listed unlock, without taking into account anything that isn't listed within the guide. Note that this means building objects with low or no functionality will not be included.

I do not include skill boosts in this guide.

If you want to use skill boots, check the Wiki page.

It's a long list, and you might just want to know *every* skill and quest requirement that you'd need to have maxed your house. To save you from having to enter every quest page to work it out yourself, I've done it for you below. Hopefully this will be beneficial to those of you who wish to 'max' your house for either personal or hosting purposes.

Minimum quest skill requirements:

Combat:

  • 66 Magic
  • 40 Defence
  • 40 Ranged

  • 49 Farming  (QUESTS ONLY) - 83 to build Spirit Tree / 85 to build Fairy Ring / 95 for Fairy Tree

Other notes:

This is the forum for Altar, so it wouldn't be right for this to be anywhere else on this list. When players think of training Prayer, they seek out a Gilded Altar to take advantage of the 350% Prayer experience it provides. If you are letting other players use your house, a Gilded Altar is a must.

It requires 75 Construction to build. You can read more about it here.

Mounting an Amulet of Glory in your Player Owned House gives you unlimited charges, making it a great way to have an extra set of teleports as well as providing that same utility to others. A common house setup is to have an Amulet of Glory mounted in a Quest Hall, in a room connecting to an Altar. This has traditionally allowed players to teleport to locations such as Edgeville to bank or continue PKing.

It requires 47 Construction to build. You can read more about it here.

spacer.png

Fairy Rings and Spirit Trees are commonly utilised methods of transport due to the wide range of locations available from Fairy Rings, and the niches covered by Spirit Trees. They are one of the most useful hotspots in a house as a result, and thus are very popular.

Spirit tree & fairy ring hotspot can be built at 95 Construction with 83 Farming, although it is possible to build two individual hotspots at 85 Construction (Fairy Ring) and at 75 Construction & 83 Farming (Spirit Tree).

spacer.png

Allows spellbook switching - useful for skilling and for PKers.

Requires 90 Construction to build. You can read more about it here.

spacer.png

A hotspot with a large number of useful teleports, going to various guilds and minigames among other places. Built in the same room as the Altar of the Occult, it is usually placed close to the entrance portal in houses to allow for fast access to the large variety of teleports.

Requires 91 Construction to build. You can read more about it here.

spacer.png

A hotspot that heals the player, cures poison and ill effects, restores prayer, run energy and special attack energy. Useful for PVM and PVP.

Requires 90 Construction to build. You can read more about it here.

spacer.png

Merges the functionality of the Demon Lecturn and the Eagle Lecturn, saving room space in your house. Lecturns are used to make spell tablets, for teleport and skilling purposes. They can be used to train Magic cost effectively, often profiting depending on the tablet.

You can read more about Marble Lecturns here.

spacer.png

The Workshop of a player owned house allows players to repair degradable armour cheaply using the Armour stand unlocked at level 55 Construction. It also allows you to build a crafting table, which is needed for some quests and making some items. A workbench is also buildable, allowing the creation of flatpacks. It is fairly regularly used by guests.

spacer.png

A Crystalline Portal Nexus requires 92 Construction to build, but allows you to have all 18 different portal teleport options in one hotspot. This saves you space, as otherwise you would need 6 portal rooms to provide the same number of teleports to different locations.

Some players prefer to use portal chambers, however, as no menus are required.

spacer.png

At 82 Construction, a Digsite pendant can be mounted in a Portal Nexus room to offer unlimited teleports to the digsite.

You can read more about this here.

spacer.png

At 72 Construction, an Xeric's Talisman can be mounted in a Portal Nexus room to offer unlimited teleports around Kourend.

You can read more about this here.

spacer.png

At 80 Construction, an Obelisk can be built to allow teleportation into the Wilderness. This is most useful for PKers as they can use it to scout locations or return to the fight rapidly. After completion of the hard wilderness diary, the player can select the teleport destination.

You can read more about this here.

spacer.png

Combat rings allow your guests to kill eachother, for entertainment or to remove the skull effect after wilderness combat.

It can be built at 51 Construction and you can read more about it here.

spacer.png

The Undead Combat Dummy allows players to easily find out their max hit, as well as having the additional function of contributing towards undead and demonic slayer tasks.

It can be built at 53 Construction. You can read more about it here.

spacer.png

Steel Dragons can be obtained at 95 Construction. They are useful to have for two main reasons:

  • They can kill players 'safely', causing them to lose the skull effect - they are booted out of the house upon death but do not lose anything.
  • They can be used to charge a dragonfire shield.

You can read more about Steel Dragons in Construction here.

Good in-depth guide man, However in the max house skill list you have Farming as 49 but to have a "Maxed house" you require 83 farming in order to plant a spirit tree in your poh. I did notice that you had it in the "Key Unlocks" section with the correct level/s so perhaps you could rename the "Max house skill list" to something along the lines of "Minimum Skill Reqs for Quests"
