2. Se6eC4Q.png Discord: House Host Tracker

We now have a House Host Tracker that allows us to add and remove open hosts on the host list. This list is shown in a table format on our Portal page, Forums page, and on Discord. The tracker has Discord commands associated with it. For more information regarding those commands, feel free to read the guide here.

3. sRL6ET8.png How Gilded Altars and Burners Work

They are built in the Chapel room sRL6ET8.png which requires level 45 stmveyy.png Construction and 50,000 coins. It is recommended to have the Chapel room sRL6ET8.png north of your House portal RiUIHrI.png, as a players' compass is north by default when they enter your house. Gilded altars sRL6ET8.png alone give 250% bonus XP in Prayer. They have 2 burners, one on each side. Each burner gives 50% bonus XP in Prayer 33b3Z5d.png if they are lit by a Tinderbox ABia65I.png and Clean marrentills OTdf8Ge.png (purchasable from the Grand Exchange in Varrock or Prifddinas) requiring level 30 Firemaking, so it is a total of 350% bonus XP in Prayer 33b3Z5d.png!

Lit burners a4UnZDJ.png last between 2 minutes 10 seconds and 3 minutes, so try your best to keep them lit so that guests in your house don't lose XP. You have the option to relight them beforehand to be safe, such as every 1 minute 30 seconds or 1 minute 40 seconds. You will need around 60-80 Clean Marrentills OTdf8Ge.png per hour while hosting, so you should bring a lot if you are planning on hosting for a long time. During DXP weekends however, Gilded altars 6VYwK35.png do not provide additional bonus XP in Prayer 33b3Z5d.png.

4. GeL6DNx.png Online Status

Before opening your house, you need to ensure that players can enter your house, even if they are not on your friends list. To do that, either double check that your "Online Status" is set to "On" on the EOC Interface Mode, or ensure that the radio button for "Everybody" is checked in the Lobby.

5. uwDibei.png How Sips Work and How Many to Provide

For those unsure what a sip uwDibei.png is or how they work, they give 5% bonus XP in Prayer 33b3Z5d.png for 1 hour per dose. They are called Perfect Juju Prayer Potions uwDibei.png in the Grand Exchange, but for hosting you should buy Perfect Juju Prayer Potion (1) uwDibei.png to save cash. It is beneficial to your guests if you provide them with sips uwDibei.png, but avoid giving out more than one sip uwDibei.png to a certain player within an hour. It is best to ask your servant 32?cb=20140620155131&key=ee1c4f5371fa330 to un-note them so that your guests will not need to go to the bank. You most likely will not need more than 100-125 sips uwDibei.png each time you host.

6. wd0dLhw.png Providing Bones or Ashes

As a host, you are free to have one type of bones wd0dLhw.png or ashes sGXa078.png noted (no more than 100) in your inventory while hosting. The reason for that is because some players run out of bones wd0dLhw.png or ashes sGXa078.png and only need a small amount of XP for their next Prayer Goal 33b3Z5d.png.  Bones wd0dLhw.png or ashes sGXa078.png to consider having noted in your inventory include:

7. stmveyy.png Efficient POH Layout

Notes:

  • Your POH may be bigger vertically or horizontally (indicated by the arrows), depending on your preferences.
  • The Demon lectern is rarely used nowadays, so you can place another room there if you wish to do so.

8. stmveyy.png Construction Boosts

Furniture can be be be boosted using:

  • Tea 6yvDbYl.png made in your house by either your servant or yourself (provides +3 stmveyy.png Construction boost with Teak Shelves 2 H7zsgPJ.png in your Kitchen VtY0fEz.png).
  • Crystal Saw P6VsKkQ.png from The Eyes of Glouphrie quest (provides +3 stmveyy.png Construction boost).
  • Spicy Stews AmvDU4b.png used with Orange spices AI47En7.png from Recipe for Disaster: Freeing Evil Dave quest. You can place up to 3 Orange spice doses 1YtGT1X.png in a Spicy Stew AmvDU4b.png, so it can range from -6 to +6 stmveyy.png Construction boost).

Tea 6yvDbYl.png + Crystal Saw P6VsKkQ.png = up to +6 stmveyy.png Construction boost, and Crystal Saw P6VsKkQ.png + Spicy Stew AmvDU4b.png = up to +9 stmveyy.png Construction boost. As a result, level 66 stmveyy.png Construction is the lowest you can have to get a Gilded altar 6VYwK35.png for example, however the +6 boost from Spicy Stews AmvDU4b.png is extremely rare.

10. Chief servant chathead Servant

A servant Chief servant chathead is a NPC that can un-note items and place construction supplies in or out of your bank. With noted Clean marrentill OTdf8Ge.png in your inventory, you will be able to use it on your servant Chief servant chathead and ask him/her to un-note them. This is the best method for lighting, since you do not have to run to the bank. Keep in mind that the servant Chief servant chathead will ask for payment every 8 trips.

Note: Two bedrooms k4eexk8.png are required if you want to have a servant Chief servant chathead in your house. Only the bed k4eexk8.png is needed for both bedrooms k4eexk8.png.

11. bk46iX9.png Estate Agent

Moving Your POH to Taverley

Once you have bought a POH from an Estate Agent (look for this icon bk46iX9.png on the minimap) for 1,000 coins, you are able to move your POH to Taverley for 5,000 coins (this is reduced to 2,500 coins if you have completed the Varrock Elite achievements) to host your Gilded altar there in World 31. It has become the main location where players train Prayer 33b3Z5d.png due to the close proximity of the lodestone and bank.

Estate Agent Locations

Estate Agents are found:

  • East of Varrock Palace.
  • Falador, north of the White Knights' Castle.
  • Seers' Village, north-east of the bank.
  • East Ardougne, south-west of the marketplace.
  • Prifddinas, south-east corner of the Ithell district.

12. DiGzWc2.gif Donations

Please avoid asking or begging for donations DiGzWc2.gif in your house. Guests generally dislike it and find it annoying or cringey. It may even result in less donations DiGzWc2.gif overall.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

13. s3LqGEb.png Door Trolls

Door trolls s3LqGEb.png&key=ef636ee110f8f62511f9ec50 are annoying players that close doors on purpose to annoy the guests and/or yourself. To get rid of them, put them on ignore list and then kick them from your house.

15. 33b3Z5d.png Helpful Tips While Hosting Your POH

While hosting, we encourage you to:

  • Invite your guests to join our community in "Altar" Friends Chat so that they can have an enjoyable experience whilst being able to find other houses in the future.
  • Mention to your guests that sips uwDibei.png provide 5% XP boost in Prayer 33b3Z5d.png, due to the fact that some players training Prayer 33b3Z5d.png come back to RuneScape after a few years and do not know anything about them.
  • Mention door trolls that you have ignored and kicked from your house in "Altar" Friends Chat so that the other hosts can do the same.
